Real creativity at its finest.
(virtual creativity, too)
From real filmmaking on location, to 3D renders in Unreal Engine, a good creative eye is
crucial for understanding the conveying of visual communication.
A good visual spectacle can shape opinions, boost recognition and retention, strengthen
team relations, and raise moral. My experience, whether it's a fun personal
project I wanted to do for the fun of it, or a piece of high-level marketing media, has
shaped and strengthed my ability to judge the efficacy of visual storytelling.
Unreal Engine Renders
Created in Unreal Engine 5.5, these renders were made using Pathtracer raytracing, usually with 9,216 light rays per pixel and 4 bounces per light ray. Each individual frame is rendered separately, with up to 1300 frames for a cinematic video, and then compiled, edited, and colour graded in Davinci Resolve. Each 1080p frame can take up to 5 minutes to render, and each 8k frame (like those used in the official FSUK posters) can take up to 8 hours for ONE image.

Initial Caption Text
These renders were made using the real CAD files of the SISU 26E design, the new concept class vehicle by Edinburgh University Formula Student and feature a self-made experimental livery. They were also later used as the base of the design of the EUFS posters.
SISU 26E for official FSUK concept class
These renders feature the same real CAD models of SISU 26E, but now featuring special flax fibre bodypanels and an unpolished, raw material look. These renders were used in the official posters for the team in the Formula Student UK design competition.
